Launch of IML’s new white paper at the 2026 AGM

“Lëtz make medicines matter – Treat faster. Innovate more effectively.”

Innovative Medicines for Luxembourg (IML) announces the publication of its new White Paper on access to therapeutic innovation and the future of the Luxembourg healthcare system. It was unveiled at the association’s Annual General Meeting on 10 June at the CHL.

Through this document, IML aims to contribute to the dialogue between public authorities, healthcare professionals, patients and innovation stakeholders around a common goal: to promote rapid, equitable and predictable access to therapeutic innovations for patients.

The White Paper is structured around three priorities:

FASTER
Reducing waiting times for innovative treatments and streamlining processes so that patients can benefit more quickly from research advances.

BETTER
Changing our perspective on therapeutic innovation. Innovative medicines are not merely an expense; they are also an investment capable of preventing hospitalisations, reducing complications, helping people remain in work and strengthening the sustainability of the healthcare system.

TOGETHER
To maintain the excellence of Luxembourg’s healthcare system through enhanced cooperation between public authorities, healthcare professionals, research institutions and innovation stakeholders.

This White Paper is not a list of demands. It offers ideas for reflection and action to enable Luxembourg to meet the health, economic and geopolitical challenges that will shape access to healthcare in the years to come.
